Nearly there..

Hey guys!

As most of you know, I have been away for a while, because I was on deployment with the Royal Netherlands Navy. We did a co-op exercise with the US Navy and Dutch, British, US and Spanish Marines. Currently we are on our return journey, due to arrive sometime this week in our home port, Den Helder.

I've had a blast and have qualified as Chief of the Watch, which means that I now am allowed to perform watch duties twice a day for four hours in the Engineering Centre, practically the technical hub of the entire ship. I have missed playing with you guys and look forward to talk to you again after next weekend. As you might imagine, I will first go and enjoy some well-earned R&R with the Mrs., but I will join you on the battlefield soon!

It's great to hear from you after all those weeks. Even better to hear that it went well. Congrats on your certification! Make sure you get your ass back here as soon as the missus allows... ;-)
